The 3 Faces
of Mother Earth painting is from wood grain. Here’s the wood
grain that inspired me:

Perhaps
it doesn’t look like much, but here’s who was hiding in amongst the
woodgrain:

The
painting is named The 3 Faces of Mother Earth for a particular reason –
from halfway across the room she looks pleasant, when you get a little
closer, she looks contemplative and from up-close, she looks sad.
It
is very fitting for Mother Earth to have all three visages, don’t you
think?
The shot above is the
“Pleasant” face, below you can see “Contemplative” and “Sad”…

Here’s
“Sad” – it’s a little blurry up so close but you can still see the
sadness. Honestly, up close she looks like she is about to
cry.

I
thought that it was fitting to call her Mother Earth because of the
visages. I think if our Mother Earh could have a face to
display
her feelings that she would have the three here.
Pleasant
= what a beautiful planet we have.
Contemplative
= contemplating the present scene, wondering how it could have gone so
wrong.
Sad
= seeing the pollution, the death of the bees, the Genetically Modified
Organisms poisoning the planet, the destruction of the oceans with oil
spills and chemicals...
I think it's fitting that Mother
Earth is an American Indian, too. After-all, it was the American
Indians that tried to teach us the ancient wisdom for caring for our
earth.
